The
Ascolano pigeons- generally only known by the designation - a pigeon race old Italian, especially preserved in the Marches, or also in some places, such as Campania and Emilia (all in Italy). This pigeon has recorded the first time since 1768, and are grouped into types
tumbler pigeons. Some fancier estimate that this variety comes from Romania. Even once declared extinct in the early 900s, but was later rescued by some farmers who are members of the
Piceni Breeding Association.
